In 1979, Nik Chilcott embarked on his journey in the timber trade through an apprenticeship with the National Sawmilling Association. After successfully completing his apprenticeship and attaining advanced levels in wood machining, he swiftly ascended the ranks to become a foreman overseeing a timber mill for a prominent company in East London. In 1986, he made the strategic move to join Essex Mouldings Ltd, now known as E.O. Burton & Co Ltd. With his wealth of experience, Nik transitioned into sales before ultimately assuming the role of General Manager at our Essex branch.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Nik indulges in his passion for crafting both working and static models, a hobby he has dedicated over 50 years to perfecting.
